Site Director | Full Time
Position Summary:
Are you equal parts clipboard and sneakers? This hybrid leadership role is for someone who thrives in both the office and on the Club floor. As Site Director, you’ll split your time between managing behind-the-scenes operations and supporting the frontlines—overseeing Youth Development Professionals (YDPs), ensuring smooth program delivery, and keeping the pulse on what’s happening with our members. You won’t be running the activities, but you’ll be the steady hand guiding the team that does.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Desert is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Site Director to lead daily operations and youth programming at our Yucca Valley branch. This hybrid leadership role combines the strategic oversight of a Program Director with the hands-on management of a Site Director, ensuring our Club runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with our mission to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Site Director will oversee all aspects of program design and delivery, staff supervision and development, facility operations, and community engagement. This is a highly collaborative and impactful leadership position—perfect for someone passionate about youth development and organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Club Operations & Oversight
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club, including safety, cleanliness, staffing, and member experience.
Manage facility use and ensure a welcoming, well-maintained environment for youth, families, and staff.
Support the Executive Director with site-level budgeting and purchasing needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety, licensing, and Boys & Girls Club standards.
Maintain accurate member records, incident reports, and documentation.
Program Leadership & Development
Design, implement, and evaluate youth programs that balance academic enrichment, physical activity, creative arts, and social-emotional development.
Monitor program attendance, engagement, and outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure all programs are safe, inclusive, and aligned with Club goals and the needs of the community.
Staff Supervision & Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of youth development professionals and volunteers.
Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage in all program areas.
Conduct new hire orientations, regular check-ins, and annual performance evaluations.
Coordinate staff training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.
Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
Community Engagement & Partnership Building
Act as the Club’s primary on-site representative and liaison to the community.
Cultivate relationships with local schools, organizations, and community leaders.
Support outreach and recruitment efforts to increase membership and family involvement.
Assist in fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and special events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, nonprofit management, youth development, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a youth-serving or nonprofit setting.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience in program development, staff management, and operational oversight.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the mission of the Boys & Girls Club.
Benefits:
Competitive salary
